We strive to sustain a high level of customer service, build relationships with customers through daily contact, and exceed expectations of both internal and external customers. Duties include: • Work with project teams to create and implement Oracle database objects needed to meet business requirements • Perform logical and physical data modeling and transaction analysis. Develop, test, and deploy software components written in PL/SQL or Java • Responsible for SQL statement performance tuning. • Research application performance issues and report findings to users, development staff, team leaders and project managers. • Troubleshoot errors or problems in program code and at the database level. Import and export data to and from Oracle via various formats, such as Access, Excel, and CSV. • Write and maintain script processes in Perl or UNIX shell scripting for file brokering and data loading. • Work with application areas to define and implement security capabilities within the Oracle database. • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current technology trends and advancements through self-learning or scheduled classroom training. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience. • 36 - 48 months experience administering Oracle databases, an in-depth knowledge of Oracle9i and 10g, as well as experience with Solaris, Linux, and PL/SQL. • Proficient with data migration and integration techniques, Perl programming, and UNIX shell scripting. • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills necessary to diagnose problems that encompass all aspects of system failures and performance issues. • High level of communication skills to support and interact with internal and external customers. • Good organization skills with the ability to exercise discretion and ingenuity to determine the proper course of action while following established standards.
